About the role
At Eleebana Children’s Centre, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, boutique early childhood care and education for children aged 0–6. As a 38-place service operating 51 weeks of the year (8:00 am – 5:30 pm), we foster a close-knit, family-like environment built on play-based learning, holistic child development, and strong family partnerships.
We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and nurturing Certificate III Educator to join our collaborative team on a full-time basis, working 5 days a week.
Eleebana Children’s Centre is deeply committed to providing a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for all children. We strictly adhere to the NSW Child Safe Standards, the National Quality Framework, and maintain zero-tolerance principles for child abuse and neglect.
As a Certificate III Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, engaging, and rich learning environment that supports each child's individual journey. Working alongside experienced team members, your daily responsibilities will include:
Educational Program: Assisting in the implementation of child-led, play-based learning programs aligned with the EYLF V2.0.
Documentation & Assessment: Contributing to meaningful documentation of children’s learning and development using our digital platform.
Health & Safety: Maintaining exceptionally high standards of hygiene, supervision, and child well-being in line with Quality Area 2 guidelines.
Family Partnerships: Fostering warm, respectful, and open communication with families to build strong community connections (Quality Area 6).
Team Collaboration: Actively participating in team meetings, room reflection, and contributing to our continuous quality improvement journey.
Qualification: Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or an ACECQA-approved equivalent).
Certifications:
Current ACECQA-approved First Aid, Emergency Asthma, and Anaphylaxis qualifications (e.g., HLTAID012).
Approved Child Protection certification/training.
Skills & Attributes: A warm and caring nature, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong initiative, and a genuine passion for early childhood education.
Work Rights: Full, ongoing working rights in Australia.
As part of our commitment to safeguarding children, all applicants must demonstrate a strong alignment with child safety principles. When submitting your application, please highlight in your resume or cover letter how you promote and embed child safety in your daily practice.
Shortlisted candidates will be subject to rigorous background verification prior to appointment. Final employment offers are strictly contingent upon:
A valid NSW Working with Children Check clearance.
Comprehensive professional reference checks (including direct supervision history).
NQAITS / regulatory background and compliance checks.
Worker Retention Payments: Enjoy the financial benefits of the Early Education Worker Retention Payment program, boosting your earnings above award rates.
Childcare Discounts: Generous childcare fee discounts available for permanent staff.
Professional Growth: Ongoing support for professional development, training, and career progression.
Work-Life Balance: Generous, off-the-floor programming time and consistent, predictable rosters within our 8:00 am – 5:30 pm operating hours.
Supportive Culture: Work alongside an experienced, collaborative team and approachable management who truly value your well-being.
If you are ready to make a positive impact in a supportive, high-quality early childhood setting, we would love to hear from you!
