About the role
The Director Procurement and Commercial Management is a critical executive leadership role responsible for setting the strategic direction and governance of Council's procurement and commercial management functions, across a portfolio exceeding $325 million in annual expenditure. Leading a multidisciplinary team, you will drive enterprise-wide procurement strategy, commercial performance, supplier partnerships, contract governance, revenue optimisation and grants policy development and management, ensuring the delivery of sustainable value and strategic outcomes for the organisation and community.
As a trusted advisor to the Executive and Council, you will provide visionary leadership in a complex and evolving environment. You will bring exceptional commercial acumen, a demonstrated ability to lead procurement outcomes for the organisation and the influence to build strong partnerships across government, industry and suppliers. Through a focus on innovation, capability and performance, you will strengthen organisational maturity and position Council for long-term success.
