Role Snapshot

Taylors is looking for an experienced Utilities Lead to take a functional leadership role within our multidisciplinary infrastructure business.

This is an opportunity to lead the technical direction and capability of our utilities function. You’ll bring your utilities expertise to complex infrastructure projects across transport, water, utilities, buildings and civil works helping set standards, guide delivery and develop the capability of those around you.

What you’ll do

• Provide functional and technical leadership across utilities, setting direction, standards and best practice.

• Lead the delivery and coordination of high-quality utilities outputs across major infrastructure projects.

• Apply your technical expertise across asset recording, underground service locating and utility investigations.

• Oversee field crews and coordinate weekly field programs to meet client and project requirements.

• Mentor and develop technical capability across the team.

• Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat engagements.

• Support project productivity, commercial outcomes and invoicing targets.

• Help grow and strengthen Taylors’ expertise and reputation in the utilities market.

What you’ll bring

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Proven technical or functional leadership experience within the utilities industry.

• Strong technical knowledge of utilities, asset recording and underground service locating.

• Experience delivering utilities projects within infrastructure environments.

• A practical understanding of project and financial management.

• The ability to influence, mentor and develop others without relying on direct managerial authority.

• A collaborative, people-first approach and a genuine interest in building technical capability.

• The flexibility to work remotely while contributing to a Melbourne-based, multidisciplinary firm.
