Perth Children's Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Administration and Compliance Officer to join our Procurement and Contract Management team. Working within a supportive and collaborative team, you'll play an important role in ensuring procurement and contract management activities are conducted with integrity, transparency and accountability.

As the Administration and Compliance Officer, you'll support the Procurement and Contract Management team by identifying procurement and contract management compliance risks, contributing to governance initiatives, and assisting with procurement activities across the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS).

Your work will help ensure procurement practices align with the WA Procurement Rules, minimise organisational risk, and promote ethical and compliant purchasing practices across the organisation.

This varied role combines administration, compliance, stakeholder engagement, project support and procurement, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in procurement, governance or public sector administration.

Key Responsibilities for the role include

• Support procurement and contract management activities across CAHS.
• Identify procurement compliance and governance issues that may lead to fraud, corruption or non-compliance.
• Assist with procurement compliance reviews, audits and the preparation of reports and recommendations.
• Coordinate and maintain procurement and contract documentation and records.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders regarding procurement processes, contracts and compliance matters.
• Undertake research and contribute to projects that improve procurement processes and governance.
• Prepare professional correspondence, reports, spreadsheets and procurement documentation.
• Help ensure purchasing activities comply with the WA Procurement Rules and Department of Health Procurement and Purchasing Policy Framework.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery and organisational performance.

About you:

You will ideally bring:

• Knowledge of the WA Procurement Rules and an understanding of governance and risk management principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Highly developed organisational, planning and analytical skills.
• The ability to interpret information, identify risks and contribute to practical solutions.

Experience using procurement or financial systems such as Oracle Financials will be highly regarded.
