About the Role

As Director of Paediatrics, you will:

• Provide clinical leadership and strategic direction for paediatric services.
  
• Manage inpatient and outpatient care, child development programs, outreach services, and emergency retrieval coordination.
  
• Lead a multidisciplinary team including Staff Specialists, registrars, and interns.
  
• Foster teaching, training, and research opportunities in collaboration with James Cook University.
  
• Drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
  

About You

• FRACP in Paediatrics or equivalent, with current AHPRA specialist registration or eligibility for full, unrestricted specialist registration.
  
• Demonstrated experience in paediatric medicine across a broad range of conditions.
  
• Proven leadership skills, preferably with Head of Department experience.
  
• Commitment to culturally safe care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  
• Ability to work in a regional and remote setting.
