The Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable 1st Year Apprentice to join our Canberra team. You will work alongside our highly experienced, factory-trained technicians to learn all aspects of the air conditioning and refrigeration trade. This is a full-time position that combines hands-on field experience with structured CIT learning.
What You Will Learn & Do
Assist with installing, servicing, and maintaining residential and commercial air conditioning systems.
Learn to work on state-of-the-art climate control technology, including precision data centre cooling.
Learn to diagnose, service, and repair diverse HVAC-R equipment.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
Follow strict workplace health, safety, and security guidelines.
What We Are Looking For
A genuine interest in the refrigeration and air conditioning trade.
Completed White Card (or a willingness to obtain it immediately).
Valid Australian Driver’s Licence (Provisional accepted) and reliable transport.
Ability to pass an AFP Police Check (essential for our government and secure client sites).
Excellent communication skills, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
