About the role
Walk alongside young people as they find connection, hope and support
This is a meaningful opportunity to use your lived experience to support young people in a way that feels human, respectful and grounded in hope.
As a Youth Peer Support Worker with headspace Narre Warren and Pakenham, you’ll provide one-on-one peer support, facilitate peer support groups and help young people build on their strengths, wellbeing practices, recovery goals and community connections. You’ll be part of a community engagement team that helps young people feel heard, included and connected to the support around them.
As a Youth Peer Support Worker, you’ll help create spaces where young people can feel safe, respected and less alone. Through purposeful and safe sharing of your own lived experience, you’ll support young people to see that recovery and healing can look different for everyone, and that support is available.
You will:
We’re looking for someone who brings warmth, strong boundaries and a genuine commitment to walking alongside young people in ways that centre dignity, choice, strengths and recovery.

Please Note: As this is a Youth Peer Support Worker position, applications are only being accepted from candidates aged 18 to 25 years. This requirement aligns with the age range of the young people supported through headspace and the lived experience peer support model of the role.
