We are seeking an experienced Perioperative Registered Nurse to join our growing team.

About the Role

As a Perioperative Registered Nurse, you will be an integral member of our multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality patient care across the perioperative journey.

Depending on your experience and skills, you may work across:

• Pre-Admissions and Admissions

• Scrub/Scout Nursing

• Anaesthetic Nursing

• Recovery (PACU)

• Other perioperative duties as required

You will work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and fellow healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective and patient-focused care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care in accordance with professional standards and best practice

• Support patients throughout their surgical journey

• Participate in patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care

• Monitor patient wellbeing and respond appropriately to clinical changes

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records

• Participate in quality improvement and accreditation activities

• Promote infection prevention and control practices

• Contribute to a safe and positive workplace culture

• Support and mentor less experienced team members where appropriate

• Participate in ongoing education, training and professional development

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

• Perioperative nursing experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Operating Theatre

  • Scrub/Scout

  • Anaesthetics

  • Recovery

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

• Commitment to ongoing professional development

• Understanding of:

  • ANZCA Standards

  • ACORN Standards

  • NSQHS Standards

  • Infection Prevention and Control principles
