Position overviewWe are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and committed full-time Accountant to join our team. This role is ideally suited to an accountant with 2-4 years' public practice experience who is looking to further develop their technical skills, expand their client exposure and progress their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:Preparing financial statements and tax returns for various entities
Completing activity statements
Liaising with clients and statutory authorities
Performing bookkeeping duties
Maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs)
Bachelor’s degree
2-4 years’ experience in public practice accounting
Strong communication and organisational skills
A professional demeanour with a common-sense approach to work
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Energetic, team-oriented and willing to learn
A commitment to developing new skills
Located in the Melbourne CBD with a modern work environment
Fortnightly in-house training sessions, with lunch provided
A team-based mentoring programme
Support for professional study towards CA or CPA qualifications
Opportunities for career progression within the firm
A friendly and collaborative team environment
Must be legally entitled to work in Australia
Completion of high school and university education
