Industrial Designer – Retail Displays & Brand ActivationsPoINT Retail · Thornleigh, NSW · Full-time PoINT is a multi-award-winning retail marketing company behind some of Australia's most recognised in-store experiences, from pharmacy floor displays to large-scale brand activations for blue-chip clients and retailers. We're a tight, talented team that cares about quality and innovation, and we're looking for a passionate Industrial Designer who does too. About the roleThis is a hands-on design engineering role at the intersection of value engineering, problem-solving and technical manufacturing. You'll develop fully resolved, production-ready solutions for retail display and brand activation projects, working closely with our project management, production, and supplier network to bring innovative ideas to life, from quoting through to production detailing and QC sign-off. What you'll doDesign and engineering; Develop detailed, innovative, and fully resolved engineering solutions in collaboration with the project team and external suppliers, documented clearly in SolidWorks. Quoting & supplier liaison; Generate quote drawings, submit quote requests, and work with the operations team to develop timely and competitive pricing in response to client requirements. Quality control; Perform QC checks on prototypes and production runs, clearly communicating issues, revisions, and resolutions to the operations team and external suppliers. Documentation & artwork; Compile client-friendly assembly instructions using photos, SolidWorks drawings, and Illustrator files. Generate print-ready artwork from client-supplied logos and assets. Cross-team collaboration; Work closely with the internal PoINT team and external suppliers to ensure high quality and consistent output. Attend job briefs and take full ownership of your scope. Project management growth; Provide project management support with a clear path toward taking full ownership of projects managing timelines and budgets end-to-end as you grow with the business. Who we're looking for2–6 years experience in Industrial Design or product design engineering for manufacture, ideally in retail display, POS, signage, or manufactured product environments. Strong SolidWorks proficiency to produce innovative, fully resolved, engineered CAD files and engineering drawings that go direct to a contract manufacturer without handholding. Pre-press artwork setup in Adobe Illustrator and associated Creative Suite applications for assembly instructions and project documentation. Practical understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, tolerances, and what's manufacturable at a commercial price point. Highly organised and accountable to take ownership of your briefs and assigned tasks autonomously. Bonus experience! Whilst not essential, some prior experience with quoting for manufacture and offshore supplier management (particularly China).
