Technical Sales Representative / Sales Engineer – Queensland

About the role

As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing customer relationships, identifying opportunities and providing pump and system solutions to customers throughout Queensland. You will work closely with our engineering, estimating and management teams to ensure customers receive the right solution for their application.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers throughout Queensland.
• Visit customers, contractors, consultants, engineers and project sites.
• Identify new sales opportunities and develop existing accounts.
• Provide technical advice and product recommendations based on customer requirements.
• Prepare quotations and assist customers with product selection.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Work with internal engineering and technical teams to develop appropriate solutions.
• Follow up quotations and manage opportunities through to completion.
• Identify upcoming projects and establish relationships with key decision-makers.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales information.

About you

• Experience in technical sales, pumps, water systems, fire protection, plumbing, mechanical services, engineering or a related industry.
• A practical understanding of pump systems and applications.
• The ability to understand technical specifications and recommend suitable solutions.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence dealing with contractors, engineers, consultants and end users.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• A proactive approach to finding and developing new opportunities.
• Good organisational and follow-up skills.
• A current Queensland driver's licence.
