About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Casual Accompanist to support the Music program at Wilderness School.
This casual position provides piano accompaniment for rehearsals, lessons, assessments and performances across the School, working closely with the Head of Music Curriculum and Head of Music Performance (Co-curricular), instrumental teachers, and student performers.
Rehearsals are held before school, at lunchtimes and after school across the week. There may be opportunities to accompany both rehearsals and ensembles as well as individual students, on an ad hoc basis. The successful applicant will also accompany soloists and ensembles at soirees, concerts, assemblies, House and School events, eisteddfods, AMEB examinations and SACE Music performance assessments.
It is an advantage if you are also prepared to teach piano, providing cover when members of our regular team of piano teachers are unwell or otherwise unavailable.
