Trades Assistant - Metal Fabrication

Western Automate is a family-owned automatic gate & fencing company based in Cockburn Central. We are looking for an experienced workshop assistant to join our growing team.

Responsibilities Will Include

• Measuring & cutting of materials ( aluminium & steel)

• Assisting boilermakers

• Quality control

• Unpacking & packing of orders

• Maintaining stock levels

• Maintaining a tidy, organized workshop environment

Experience and Skills Required

• Physically Fit (This is a fast-paced role)

• Workshop environment exposure preferable

• Knowledge of hand and power tools

• Ability to follow procedures and directions from supervisors

• Excellent time management skills & ability to multitask 

• Forklift Ticket required (MUST HAVE)

• Keen eye for detail & accuracy

• Own reliable transport & drivers license 

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Remuneration package includes

The successful applicant will start on a probationary period of 6 months with the opportunity for full time after the probation period

• Company Shirts

• $35 per hour ( + Production Bonuses)

• 4 Day Weeks - 10 Hour Days

• Position Commencing immediately
