We're looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join our Melbourne office. You'll work with a sophisticated client base alongside experienced professionals, building trusted long-term relationships and delivering tailored financial strategies in a collaborative and supportive environment. Position Overview

The Paraplanner is responsible for providing high quality technical support to a Partner of the firm in the development, preparation and delivery of tailored financial advice. The role plays an important part in ensuring high net worth clients receive accurate, well-structured and compliant advice solutions.

Working closely with the Partner and administration team, the Paraplanner will research strategies, analyse client information, prepare advice documentation and assist with the efficient implementation of recommendations. The role requires strong attention to detail, technical financial planning knowledge and the ability to understand complex client circumstances and structures.

As a key member of the team, the Paraplanner will contribute to the continued success of Garnaut Private Wealth by supporting exceptional outcomes for our sophisticated client base and maintaining the firm's commitment to best practice financial advice.

Key Deliverables

• Prepare Statements of Advice (SOAs), Records of Advice (ROAs) and client review documentation.

• Work closely with a Partner of the firm on research, strategy development and the preparation of high-quality client recommendations.

• Conduct analysis and provide technical support to assist with the development of tailored financial strategies.

• Prepare cash flow modelling and analyse clients' financial positions.

• Review financial statements, investment information and complex financial structures.

• Collaborate with the administration team to ensure advice is implemented accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate client records and advice documentation.

• Ensure all advice documentation complies with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and internal policies.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the financial services industry, with demonstrated experience in paraplanning, financial planning or wealth management.

• Experience preparing SOAs, ROAs and client review documentation.

• Strong technical knowledge of financial planning and investment strategies.

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
