About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team at our McLaren Vale SA 5171 location on a part-time basis. This is a key leadership position that will support the Store Manager in the daily operations and strategic objectives of the store. As Assistant Store Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth store operations, maintaining high standards of customer service, and leading our team to achieve sales targets. This position offers the opportunity to develop your management skills whilst maintaining work-life balance through part-time hours.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

• Supervise and motivate store staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management

• Ensure the store maintains high standards of visual merchandising, cleanliness and organisation

• Manage customer service standards and address customer concerns or complaints professionally

• Monitor and analyse sales performance, stock levels and inventory management

• Assist with cash handling and point-of-sale operations

• Contribute to the achievement of store sales targets and key performance indicators

• Coordinate promotional activities and ensure effective implementation of marketing campaigns

• Maintain a safe and secure store environment for both staff and customers

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role, preferably within the fashion sector

• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff

• Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and drive business performance

• Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and retail management software

• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Knowledge of visual merchandising and retail best practices

• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges

• A passion for fashion and retail excellence

• Must have full working rights in Australia
