About the role
About The Role
The Senior Case Manager is responsible for providing expert advice and overseeing a high quality and effective case work service for children and young people residing in out of home care. This position will provide high quality advice to the program in the form of additional leadership, mentoring, supporting Case Managers and providing supervision to Support Workers, Students and Volunteers. The role would also oversee more complex case management matters.
This is a Full-Time opportunity based in West Perth, WA within our OOHC program. The position reports to the Manager WA/NT.
Key Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, the incumbent will have:
A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families .An appropriate qualification in Human Services, or a related discipline, with substantial experience is preferred. A combination of equivalent level of study and experience, including Aboriginal people with lived and professional experience will be considered.Extensive experience and demonstrated skills in working with vulnerable children, young people, and families in a trauma-informed way.An understanding of the child protection system including the out of home care service system.A minimum of 3 years of case management experience, including the management of complex cases.
