Ashborn Industries is looking for an experienced Production Team Leader to join our operations team and take ownership of our manufacturing operations at our Green Fields site. This key role is responsible for production scheduling, team performance, safety and on time delivery.

About the role

You will lead the day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety requirements are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily production schedule, prioritising orders to ensure on time delivery

• Coordinate workloads across the team to maintain efficient production flow and output

• Monitor productivity and implement improvements to enhance performance

• Lead, supervise and support production team members on the floor

• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and ensure clear communication of tasks and priorities

• Train and develop team members to ensure capability across machinery and processes

• Maintain a strong focus on workplace health and safety (WHS)

• Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with safe work practices

• Promote a clean, organised and safe workshop environment, including PPE compliance

• Ensure quality standards are consistently met across all production outputs

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support Lean / 5S initiatives

• Drive accountability for workmanship, efficiency and team performance

• Oversee stock control, ordering and inventory levels

• Coordinate freight, dispatch and receivals to meet operational requirements

• Support maintenance of plant, equipment and overall workshop operations

About You

You are someone who leads by example, takes ownership, and can be relied on to support your team and get the job done safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

• Experience in manufacturing, production, industrial environments or similar

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proven ability to lead, motivate and manage teams in a fast-paced setting

• Confidence in production scheduling, workflow coordination, and meeting deadlines

• Exposure to LEAN or continuous improvement practices

• A strong understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) and safe work practices

• A pro-active approach to problem-solving and improving processes

• High attention to detail with a focus on quality, efficiency, and output

• The ability to stay organised and perform under pressure

• Hold a current driver licence

• Hold a current High-Risk Licence (LF)

• Candidates must hold current Australian work authorisation at the time of application.
