Junior Accountant– Harmony BYD - Bilingual Preferred

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Dealership Accountant to be based onsite at BYD Nunawading. This role will support the dealership’s daily finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, reporting, and financial administration.

This is a great opportunity for an accounting graduate or experienced accounting professional with automotive dealership experience, AP/AR experience, and strong system skills to join a fast-growing EV automotive group.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting support for the dealership

• Process and reconcile Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions

• Prepare invoices, receipts, payment records, and supporting documentation

• Assist with bank reconciliations, supplier statements, and customer account follow-ups

• Maintain accurate financial records in SAP and other finance systems

• Support month-end closing, reporting, and general ledger reconciliation

• Liaise with dealership managers, sales, admin, and head office finance teams

• Assist with expense claims, commission-related data, and dealership financial reporting

• Ensure compliance with company finance policies and internal procedures

What We’re Looking For

Required

• Degree or qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

• Experience using SAP financial systems

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing

• Good Excel skills and general computer literacy

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Full time working rights

Highly Regarded

• Previous experience in an automotive dealership or retail business

• Understanding of dealership finance operations and vehicle sales administration

• Bilingual communication skills in English and Mandarin

• Experience working with multi-entity or fast-paced business environments
