The Opportunity

12 - Month Max Term Contract

Join a long-term Defence contract supporting critical fuel infrastructure used by the Australian Army, Navy and Air Force. Your primary focus will be to convert marked-up drawings into controlled electronic master drawings, creating a single source of truth that can be maintained, revised and updated as projects and site changes occur.

Sitting within a team of five and supported by a broader network of engineers, contractors and project stakeholders, you'll take ownership of drawing governance, revision control and engineering documentation across the contract.

The "Senior" aspect of this role isn't about managing people. It's about leading drawing changes, working with a wide range of stakeholders, and becoming the go-to person for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the master drawing set. 

What You'll Be Doing

• Convert redline-marked PDF drawings into accurate, editable as-built master drawings.

• Maintain and update the master drawing register to reflect approved site and engineering changes.

• Lead drawing revisions and ensure all engineering documentation remains accurate, current, and compliant.

• Develop, modify, and maintain 2D and 3D models using Autodesk and Bentley design software.

• Collaborate closely with engineers, site personnel, and contractors to implement and document design changes.

• Act as the focal point for drawing control, document management, and technical drafting support across the contract.

Requires

• Experience working within oil & gas, chemical, petrochemical, mining, power, utilities or similar industries.

• Strong understanding of engineering change processes and drawing control.

• Experience maintaining master drawing sets and managing drawing revisions.

• 2D and 3D modelling experience.

• Experience using Autodesk and/or Bentley software.

• The ability to work autonomously while coordinating with multiple technical and operational stakeholders.

• Australian Citizenship.
