About the role

Medihouse Medical Centre is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered or Enrolled Nurse to join our healthcare team. This is a part-time position based in Hallam, VIC 3803, offering flexibility whilst maintaining the high standards of patient care our centre is known for. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering quality nursing services, supporting our ambulance and paramedic operations, and ensuring patients receive exceptional care in a fast-paced medical environment. Your contribution will be essential to the smooth functioning of our medical centre and the wellbeing of the communities we serve.

Key responsibilities

• Providing direct patient care and nursing support

• Assisting with clinical procedures and patient assessments under appropriate supervision

• Monitoring and recording vital signs and patient observations accurately

• Supporting emergency response protocols and ensuring readiness for acute patient presentations

• Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations

• Collaborating with Doctors and staff to deliver coordinated patient care

• Preparing and sterilising equipment and maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment

• Responding to patient enquiries with professionalism and empathy

• Contributing to ongoing quality improvement and safety initiatives within the centre

What we're looking for

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as either a Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN)

• Demonstrated experience working in General practice settings

• Strong clinical knowledge and competency in patient care and nursing procedures

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations

• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it

• A commitment to maintaining professional standards and continuing professional development

• Excellent organisational and time management skills

• A patient-centred approach with strong empathy and compassion
