Bindery / Print Finishing Specialist
TK Print | Full-time | Thebarton, SA 5031
We’re looking for an experienced Bindery / Print Finishing specialist to join the team at TK Print. This is a full-time hands-on role at our facility in Thebarton.
You’ll operate and look after our bindery and finishing equipment to deliver high-quality finished work on time. You’ll be a key part of the production process and help maintain the standard our clients expect from us.
Operating bindery and print finishing equipment including collators, folders, cutters/trimmers, laminators and stitching machines
Setting up and adjusting machinery to meet job specifications and quality standards
Checking finished work for quality, spotting and fixing issues
Monitoring production runs for consistency
Carrying out routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
Packing and preparing finished jobs for dispatch
Keeping accurate production and material records
Following health & safety procedures and keeping a clean, organised work area
Working closely with the production team to keep jobs moving smoothly
Troubleshooting equipment issues and escalating when needed
Proven experience in bindery / print finishing, ideally in a commercial print environment
Solid experience running folders, collators, cutters/trimmers and stitching equipment
Strong attention to detail and a genuine focus on quality
Good understanding of different binding and finishing techniques
Ability to read and follow job tickets and production specs accurately
Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
Physically capable of manual handling and working in a production environment
Reliable, punctual and a solid work ethic
Team player with clear communication skills
Strong health & safety awareness
Highly regarded: Experience operating a foiling machine (or willingness and ability to quickly learn one) will be viewed very favourably.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in bindery/finishing operations are a plus but not essential.
