About the role
Shape the future of NSW communities in the team that delivers strategic planning outcomes across the state.
An exciting temporary opportunity is available for a Senior Planning Officer, Strategic Planning to contribute to high-profile projects that support infrastructure delivery, economic development, resilience, sustainability and liveability outcomes.
Working within the Economic and Social Policy team, you will lead and coordinate research, analysis and stakeholder engagement activities to inform evidence-based planning and policy decisions where you will also, manage complex projects, undertake strategic research, develop recommendations, and prepare high-quality advice for executives on planning and policy matters.
You will build strong relationships across government, local councils, industry and community stakeholders, while translating complex technical information into clear and practical guidance that supports planning outcomes and government priorities.
You will bring demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning processes and relevant planning and environmental legislation, along with strong project management, stakeholder engagement, analytical and communication skills.
