Duties and Responsibilities

Basic Functions:
As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers. You will work with seasonal produce, prepare high-quality dishes, and uphold food safety and hygiene standards.

We are looking for:

• Experience in cooking and managing kitchen operations.
• Excellent multitasking skills and a team-oriented mindset to contribute positively to the business.
• Passion for food and beverages with a keen eye for detail.
• Understanding of Australian food safety and hygiene standards.
• Commitment to ensuring the freshness and quality of ingredients.
• Proficiency in food stock management, waste reduction, and daily temperature checks for refrigerators and freezers.
• Ability to serve food at the correct temperature consistently.

Responsibilities:

• Setting up workstations, monitoring temperatures, and operating kitchen equipment.
• Measuring and weighing ingredients to maintain high-quality standards.
• Following recipes to prepare and cook food, including dietary-specific dishes.
• Baking, grilling, frying, and boiling various dishes, including meat, fish, vegetables, and more.
• Presenting and garnishing dishes with sauces and other accompaniments.
• Adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Monitoring stock levels and ensuring proper storage of food in temperature-controlled facilities.
• Staying updated on cooking techniques and methods to improve overall kitchen performance.

Qualification and Experience

• Minimum qualification: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Warrnambool VIC 3280: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• Certificate I - IV (Preferred)

Experience:

• Cooking: 2 years (Required)

Work Authorisation:

• Australia (Required)
