About the role
South Australia's leading Orthopaedic clinic, providing patients with a complete recovery pathway. We coordinate surgery and anaesthesia as well as physiotherapy, mobility aids and transport to and from hospital with our network of preferred specialist partners to minimise out-of-pocket costs for our patients.
The Joint Replacement Clinic is looking for a proactive, organised and people-focused Registered Nurse to support our Orthopaedic Surgeons and help deliver an exceptional patient experience. This is a fixed-term position of approximately 6 months, covering a period of parental leave.
If you thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment, enjoy being the calm centre of a busy practice and take pride in accuracy and efficiency, this role will suit you perfectly.
You'll be part of a respected, high-performing specialist clinic known for its complete joint replacement care pathway — supporting patients at every step, from initial consultation through surgery, recovery, physiotherapy and beyond. This role offers genuine variety, autonomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives.
This is a clinical position to support the daily operations of our business such as consultations, onboarding, patient management, services coordination, wound clinics and hospital visits. You’ll be working within a small clinical team, but will be an important support for Surgeons, patients and the administration team and a reliable key contributor to the smooth running of the practice.
Conduct onboarding phone calls with patients, provide guidance and education on the JRC pathway model and coordinate their care
Conduct independent wound clinics for a variety of surgical procedures
Collect relevant medical information prior to surgical consultations
Conduct hospital visits in operating hospitals post-operatively
Make quick decisions and escalate necessary care in a timely manner
Accurately and efficiently document in software systems
Communicate effectively and efficiently with internal staff and external companies/hospitals to coordinate patient care
You'll thrive in this role if you are:
Warm, professional and confident communicating with patients
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Comfortable managing competing priorities in a clinical environment
Reliable, discreet and committed to patient-centred care
Able to work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses and practice staff — and independently, with initiative
A clear and respectful communicator across all levels of the practice
Prompt in sharing information to support efficient workflow and patient care
A positive contributor to team culture
Current and unrestricted AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
Minimum of 2 years Hospital/Ward/Theatre experience
A supportive, collaborative team environment
The opportunity to work closely with leading Orthopaedic Surgeons
A role with real impact on patient experience and outcomes
Stability, variety and professional growth within a respected specialist clinic
Flexibility to work from home on theatre days once fully trained
Competitive wage based on experience
If you're ready to bring your skills, energy and compassion to a clinic that truly values excellence in patient care, we'd love to hear from you.
Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and why this role is right for you.
