About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA Officer to join our Operations team based in Derrimut, Victoria.This role is responsible for supporting and maintaining quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, monitoring quality processes, conducting inspections and audits, preparing quality reports, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business.The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all products meet customer and quality requirements while supporting the site's quality assurance and accreditation programs.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare weekly and monthly quality reports and statistics.Monitor quality processes and implement improvements where required.Conduct quality control inspections of outgoing products.Support and maintain ICA accreditation requirements.Train staff on quality specifications and procedures.Investigate and report quality system deviations.Coordinate plant health certificates and quality documentation.Manage administration relating to quality specifications and compliance programs.Monitor stock levels of quality-related materials and conduct pallet counts.Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental and regulatory standards.Analyse quality statistics, inspection findings and quality system deviations to identify trends and areas for improvement.Prepare clear quality reports and present findings to support informed decision-making.Investigate the root causes of quality issues and support the implementation of appropriate corrective actions.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives relating to product quality, quality systems and compliance.
Skills & ExperienceQuality Management Systems (ISO 9001) knowledge.Audit and compliance experience.Strong analytical and reporting skills.Root cause analysis and problem-solving capability.High attention to detail.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Training and coaching experience.Strong organisational and time management skills
QualificationsBachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience.Minimum 3 years' experience in a QA/QC role.Industry experience in floral, horticulture, fresh produce or FMCG environments highly regarded
