About Prosperosa
Prosperosa is a mental health-focused NDIS provider supporting participants across community access, in-home supports and Supported Independent Living (SIL) environments.
We work primarily alongside participants living with psychosocial disabilities, mental health conditions and complex support needs. Our approach is recovery-oriented, trauma-informed and person-centred, with a strong focus on dignity, independence, emotional safety and meaningful community participation.
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, proactive and emotionally mature Mental Health Support Workers to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on role supporting participants across community-based supports, individual supports and some SIL environments. Supports may include:
• community access and social participation
• transport and appointments
• emotional support and recovery-oriented engagement
• daily living assistance and routine support
• household tasks completed alongside participants
• documenting progress notes and incidents
This role is not suited to workers seeking passive support shifts. Staff are expected to actively engage with participants, contribute to support routines and provide meaningful person-centred support.
What We’re Looking For
Successful applicants will:
• have experience in mental health, disability or community services
• remain calm and professional under pressure
• maintain strong professional boundaries
• have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• be reliable, proactive and team-oriented
• be comfortable supporting participants with psychosocial disability and behavioural complexity
• work confidently both independently and within a team
Essential Requirements
• Current Driver Licence
• Reliable comprehensively insured vehicle
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Blue Card
• National Police Check
• Current First Aid & CPR
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Desirable
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Mental Health or Community Services
• Mental Health First Aid
• Trauma-informed practice knowledge
• Experience in psychosocial disability supports
• Medication competency training
