Meat Process Workers

Whales Regional Workforce are looking for 70 Meat Process Workers (general) to work in the Carrum region of Victoria. These roles are to commence in September 2026 for an employment period of up to 9 months. Key responsibilities for these positions will include:

• Processing meat
• Loading meat products into chillers, freezers and trucks
• Packing boned and sliced meat into cartons
• Cleaning and sanitising equipment and work areas
• General labour, as required.

Required skills and personal attributes:

• This type of work is physically demanding, requiring a good level of general fitness and hygiene (being part of the food industry), the ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods of time and carry out repetitive tasks.
• Workers must be reliable and motivated, be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Able to work mostly indoors, in various conditions, including controlled temperature environments, ranging from -18 degrees to 25 degrees.
• Available for shift work.
• Q-Fever immunisation is mandatory.
