Our client is a well-established and trusted recycling business specialising in ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal. They are currently seeking a proactive Yard Hand with occasional truck driving to support daily operations and ensure the smooth running of yard and delivery activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist visitors to the yard professionally.

• Sort and grade various types of scrap metal efficiently.

• Operate machinery safely, including forklifts

• Complete local pickups and deliveries as required.

• Assist with general yard duties and support the broader team as needed.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills and the ability to complete digital forms/logs.

• A professional, presentable, and courteous manner.

• Strong awareness of and commitment to safety procedures.

• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.

• Good attention to detail and time management.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Valid HR Licence.

• Valid Forklift Licence.

Desirable

• Previous experience in the scrap metal or recycling industry.
