Position Summary
At the heart of our Food & Beverage offering is McRae Bar, a sophisticated destination renowned for its refined atmosphere, artisanal cocktails, premium beverages and warm, personalised service. We are seeking an exceptional Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team and help create extraordinary moments for our guests.

The Role
As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will play a key leadership role in the day-to-day operations of McRae Bar. Reporting to the Bar Manager, you will lead by example, inspire your team and ensure a seamless guest experience that reflects Capella Sydney's luxury service standards.

You will be actively involved in the development and launch of new cocktail and beverage menus, team training and the delivery of memorable guest experiences. You will have the opportunity to build strong product knowledge, engage with our guests and contribute ideas that shape the evolution of McRae Bar.

Key Responsibilities
·         Supervise daily operations and service flow within McRae Bar.

·         Lead and motivate the team to consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences.

·         Ensure compliance with Capella service standards, operational procedures and brand expectations.

·         Actively engage with guests, anticipating needs and creating memorable experiences.

·         Provide expert recommendations on beverages, cocktails, wines and menu offerings.

·         Conduct team briefings and support ongoing training and development initiatives.

·         Handle guest feedback and service recovery with professionalism and care.

·         Monitor outlet presentation, cleanliness, mise en place and operational readiness.

·         Support inventory management, equipment checks and stock control processes.

·         Drive upselling and revenue opportunities while maintaining a guest-centric approach.

·         Foster strong collaboration with Culinary, Stewarding and other hotel departments.

·         Assist in maintaining Forbes Travel Guide, LQA and hotel quality standards.

Talent Profile
·         Previous supervisory experience in a luxury hotel, premium bar, restaurant or hospitality venue.

·         Strong food and beverage knowledge, with a particular passion for premium beverages and cocktails.

·         Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Proven ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing teams.

·         Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

·         Experience using POS and hospitality management systems.

·         A proactive, hands-on leadership style.

·         Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
