About the role
Company Description Sprout Psychology Melbourne (SPM) is a multilingual private practice established in 2019, providing psychological assessment and support to children, adolescents, adults, and their families across Melbourne. The practice is known for culturally responsive, neurodiversity-affirming services that address learning differences and neurodivergence. SPM works closely with culturally and linguistically diverse, bilingual, and multicultural communities, offering evidence-informed and ethically grounded care that emphasises clarity, collaboration, and functional understanding.
Role Description This Psychologist role is an on-site position based in Hawthorn or Burwood, VIC. The Psychologist will provide evidence-based therapy and conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, including learning evaluations, and prepare clear, accessible reports for families, schools, and relevant services. Opportunities for professional development and ongoing group supervisions held by highly experienced Clinical and Educational Psychologists external to the agency.
QualificationsStrong foundation and applied clinical experiences of at least 5 years post graduation.Demonstrated skills in therapeutic intervention and support.Competence in Psychological Assessment.Established in practicing in the shared care model (e.g., working with GPs, psychiatrists, paediatricians).Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and a commitment to neurodiversity-affirming practice.Experience working with adolescents and adults in educational, community, or healthcare settingsFamiliarity with Medicare and NDIS frameworks.High standards of written communication.Demonstrated independence in clinical decision making
