Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist

Make a lasting impact on patient safety and antimicrobial use across a leading tertiary health service. As the Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist, you will work at the forefront of clinical pharmacy practice, partnering with Infectious Diseases, Microbiology and multidisciplinary teams to optimise antimicrobial therapy, improve patient outcomes, and drive stewardship, education, research and quality improvement initiatives across the organisation.

What you'll be doing
The Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist is responsible for leading and coordinating antimicrobial stewardship services to support the safe, effective and appropriate use of antimicrobials across the organisation. The position provides expert clinical advice, drives stewardship governance and quality improvement activities, contributes to education, research and policy development, and works collaboratively with key stakeholders to improve patient outcomes and support compliance with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and Antimicrobial Stewardship Clinical Care Standard.
