About the role
We’re looking for an experienced and people-focused Practice Manager to join our Myhealth Newington team on a full-time basis.
As Practice Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the practice, working closely with GPs, the reception team and Head Office to ensure the clinic runs efficiently while delivering an exceptional patient experience.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact across practice operations, team performance and patient care.

A day in the life:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring smooth and efficient clinic flow
• Lead, support and develop the reception team, including rostering, performance and workflow management
• Work closely with GPs and the wider team to ensure a high standard of patient care and service
• Monitor practice performance, KPIs and financial results, identifying opportunities for improvement
• Manage patient feedback and complaints, ensuring concerns are handled professionally and effectively
• Oversee Medicare billing processes and ensure billing practices are accurate and compliant
• Manage practice systems, processes and administration to support efficient clinic operations
• Support compliance, accreditation and workplace health and safety requirements
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members
• Work collaboratively with Head Office across finance, HR, marketing, IT and other operational requirements
• Other practice management duties as required

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in a Practice Manager or senior leadership role within General Practice
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
• Sound understanding of general practice operations, Medicare billing and compliance
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with GPs, team members and Head Office
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Experience with Best Practice software is desirable
