Medical Receptionist

Belmore Medical is seeking a friendly, informed and compassionate Medical Receptionists to join our team on a part time basis. Evenings (up to 9pm) and weekend shifts are a requirement of the role. Experience in the medical industry would be highly regarded. Expected number of hours rostered per week will range between 12 to 24hours.

The role:

• Promptly answering incoming phone calls and queries

• Scheduling appointments and procedures with consideration to appointment types

• Arriving patients

• Maintaining patient confidentiality

• Maintaining a clean waiting room, doctors consult rooms and bathroom amenities

• Completing daily checklists

• Checking voicemails and returning them

• Sending day sheets to Allied Health providers

• Billing patients, taking and receipting payments

• Chasing outstanding payments

• Responding to individual requirements of each provider

• Follow up action of emails from doctors, nurses, patients and management

• Photocopying, scanning and filing

• Mailing scripts

• Maintaining complete quality patient data

• Maintaining stock

Previous experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years in a similar role

• Friendly and empathetic 

• Ability to work in a team

• Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritise

• Effective communication skills
