Casual Sports Coach – Kelly Sports Ivanhoe

Kelly Sports Ivanhoe is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and committed Casual Sports Coach to join our growing team.

This is a casual coaching position with regular opportunities across our programs, with the potential for ongoing hours and additional work based on availability, program demand and performance.

Kelly Sports is a leading provider of children's sports programs, delivering quality coaching to thousands of children across schools, childcare centres, community venues, school holiday programs, and special events.

Our programs focus on developing sporting skills, confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love of physical activity in children aged 1.5–12 years.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and delivering a variety of sports programs across Ivanhoe, Heidelberg, Essendon, Bundoora, Mill Park and surrounding Melbourne suburbs.

Programs include:

• Before and after-school sports programs

• Lunchtime school programs

• Childcare and kindergarten sports sessions

• School Holiday Programs

• Birthday Parties

• Sporting Schools programs

• Community and corporate events

Typical coaching hours are spread across weekdays, with sessions running before school, during school hours, and between 3:00pm and 5:00pm, with additional weekend opportunities available.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who takes pride in delivering programs to a high standard, is extremely reliable, and has a genuine passion for helping children develop through sport.

Previous coaching experience is strongly preferred, however we are also interested in applicants with a strong sporting background, teaching experience, or experience working with children.

Key Requirements

• Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle

• Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

• Experience working with children aged 1.5–12 years

• Previous sports coaching experience (highly regarded)

• Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (HLTAID012) and Provide CPR (or willingness to obtain)

• Completed training – Community Coaching Essential Skills (CCES) (or willingness to complete)

• Willingness to travel across Ivanhoe, Heidelberg, Essendon, Bundoora, Mill Park and surrounding suburbs

• Relevant studies or qualifications in sport, teaching, education, recreation, or a related field are advantageous

• Commitment to child safety and wellbeing

• Applicants are encouraged to complete the Australian Government's National Child Safety Training

Pay & Benefits

• $30–$40 per hour + superannuation, depending on age, experience, qualifications and applicable award rates
