Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Pegasus Apart'Hotel in the heart of Melbourne. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing common areas and hotel rooms across our hotel property to ensure the comfort and safety of our guests. The role is based in our Melbourne CBD location.

What you'll be doing

1. Perform preventive maintenance on all hotel common areas and hotel rooms.

2. Troubleshoot and repair any malfunctioning plant equipment or systems in a timely manner

3. Perform routine inspections and identify any issues or potential problems

4. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and repairs

5. Collaborate with the Maintenance Team to ensure smooth operations

6. Respond to emergency calls and address any urgent maintenance needs

7. Working 5 days on, 2 days off roster. (Weekend are included), We are open to a casual role that includes working Saturdays.

8. Maintenance of swimming pool and laundry facilities.

What we're looking for

1. At least 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role within the hospitality or commercial property industry. (Prefered, but not required)

2. Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical systems. (Prefered, but not required)

3. Proficient in the use of various hand and power tools - tools are provided by the business.

4. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

5. Commitment to providing exceptional customer service

6. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
