The Opportunity: 

We are seeking a Lawyer to join our respected Personal Injury team in our Melbourne office. This is an excellent opportunity for a practitioner looking to build their career across a broad range of personal injury matters while working alongside experienced and supportive practitioners. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

• Direct liaison with clients and providing accurate and timely advice 

• Managing a diverse caseload of personal injury matters 

• Preparing court documents, correspondence and settlement materials 

• Attending court appearances, mediations, conciliations, conferences and settlement negotiations 

• Conducting legal research and preparing advice 

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships 

Successful candidates will have: 

• A valid Victorian Practising Certificate 

• A minimum of 2-5 years' PQE, ideally with experience in personal injury law 

• Experience acting for plaintiff clients, defendant clients, or both, within personal injury 

• Strong knowledge of personal injury legislation, procedures and dispute resolution processes 

• Exceptional client care skills, with the ability to engage empathetically and sensitively with vulnerable clients 

• Strong negotiation, mediation and advocacy skills 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Strong client relationship and business development skills 

• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and a busy caseload
