Are you highly organised, detail-focused and confident coordinating meetings, governance processes and a diverse range of stakeholders?
Katherine Town Council is seeking a Governance Officer – Working Group to join our Governance team within the Office of the Chief Executive Officer.
Reporting to the Manager Governance and Risk, this role provides governance, coordination and administrative support to Council working groups and committees. You will play an important role in ensuring meetings and governance processes are well organised, transparent, accountable and compliant, while supporting effective engagement between Council, stakeholders and the Katherine community.
About the roleThis is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys organisation, governance, stakeholder engagement and making sure things get done. Key responsibilities include:
We are looking for someone who can confidently manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
To be successful, you will have:
Experience in Local Government, a Diploma-level or higher qualification in Governance or Business, and experience with EDRMS/information management systems will be highly regarded.
