About the role

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Retail Sales and Customer Service Representative to join our team at our Lonsdale, SA location. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering outstanding customer experiences and driving sales across our product range. You will be the face of ShedKing, responsible for engaging with customers, understanding their requirements, and guiding them towards the ideal storage and garden solutions. This position is essential to our continued success and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming retail environment

• Assess customer needs and provide expert product recommendations tailored to their specific requirements

• Conduct product demonstrations and explain key features, benefits and specifications

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems

• Manage customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously

• Maintain product knowledge across our full range of sheds, storage solutions and garden products

• Assist with stock management, product displays and maintaining a clean, organised retail space

• Build and maintain customer relationships to encourage repeat business and loyalty

• Contribute to achieving sales targets and key performance indicators

• Provide follow-up support and address any post-purchase concerns

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in retail sales, customer service or a similar customer-facing role

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers at all levels

• Strong sales ability with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets

• Product knowledge and enthusiasm for outdoor and garden solutions (or willingness to develop expertise)

• Proficiency with Windows based computer software

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

• High level of patience, reliability and professional demeanour

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Current driver's licence is preferred
