Anglicare NSW South, NSW West & ACT (Anglicare) is a not-for-profit organisation currently seeking Early Childhood Educator (Diploma qualified) to join our team in Scullin, ACT. About the Opportunity: 

As a Diploma-qualified Educator, you will play a key role in supporting our teams to deliver high-quality educational play-based programs for young children. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Take a leading role in planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of play-based, inclusive, developmentally appropriate educational programs aligned with the EYLF, NQF, and NQS. 

• Support children’s learning through intentional teaching, responsive interactions, and provision of engaging learning experiences. 

• Provide a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment that prioritises children’s health, safety, and wellbeing. 

• Complete documentation, assessment, and reporting to support each child’s learning and development. 

• Adhere to all child protection, mandatory reporting, and safeguarding requirements. Lead and mentor Educators and other team members to build and sustain a constructive teaching environment. 

• Proactively respond to child and family needs by encouraging, valuing and respecting their involvement. 

• Leverage professional communication with all relevant colleagues and managers and work harmoniously to achieve excellence in every aspect of service delivery. 

• Build secure, respectful, and professional relationships with children, families, colleagues and the wider community and provide them with prompt and courteous service. 

• Adherence to both Early Childhood Australia’s Code of Ethics and Anglicare's Code of Conduct. 

About You 

• You hold (or are actively working towards) an ACECQA‑approved Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education. 

• You have experience working with children in Early Learning environments. 

• You demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding children and upholding their safety and wellbeing at all times. 

• You have a solid understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), including the National Quality Standards (NQS), the Early Years Learning Framework, and the My Time, Our Place Framework for learning. 

• You have a strong understanding of your responsibilities as a Mandatory Reporter under Child Protection legislation. 

• You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues. 

• You bring energy, enthusiasm, and creativity to your work, along with a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development. 

• You are committed to Anglicare’s mission and values of integrity, inclusiveness, dignity, and compassion. 

• You hold a current First Aid certificate, or a willingness to obtain. 

• You have a current Working with Vulnerable People card (WWVP) - ACT. 

• You have completed the foundation training modules of the National Child Safety Training provided by the Department of Education, Australian Government (prior to employment)
