About Us
Anglicare NSW South, NSW West & ACT (Anglicare) is a not-for-profit organisation currently seeking Early Childhood Educator (Diploma qualified) to join our team in Scullin, ACT. About the Opportunity:
As a Diploma-qualified Educator, you will play a key role in supporting our teams to deliver high-quality educational play-based programs for young children.
Key Responsibilities:
Take a leading role in planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of play-based, inclusive, developmentally appropriate educational programs aligned with the EYLF, NQF, and NQS.
Support children’s learning through intentional teaching, responsive interactions, and provision of engaging learning experiences.
Provide a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment that prioritises children’s health, safety, and wellbeing.
Complete documentation, assessment, and reporting to support each child’s learning and development.
Adhere to all child protection, mandatory reporting, and safeguarding requirements. Lead and mentor Educators and other team members to build and sustain a constructive teaching environment.
Proactively respond to child and family needs by encouraging, valuing and respecting their involvement.
Leverage professional communication with all relevant colleagues and managers and work harmoniously to achieve excellence in every aspect of service delivery.
Build secure, respectful, and professional relationships with children, families, colleagues and the wider community and provide them with prompt and courteous service.
Adherence to both Early Childhood Australia’s Code of Ethics and Anglicare's Code of Conduct.
About You
You hold (or are actively working towards) an ACECQA‑approved Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education.
You have experience working with children in Early Learning environments.
You demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding children and upholding their safety and wellbeing at all times.
You have a solid understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), including the National Quality Standards (NQS), the Early Years Learning Framework, and the My Time, Our Place Framework for learning.
You have a strong understanding of your responsibilities as a Mandatory Reporter under Child Protection legislation.
You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
You bring energy, enthusiasm, and creativity to your work, along with a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
You are committed to Anglicare’s mission and values of integrity, inclusiveness, dignity, and compassion.
You hold a current First Aid certificate, or a willingness to obtain.
You have a current Working with Vulnerable People card (WWVP) - ACT.
You have completed the foundation training modules of the National Child Safety Training provided by the Department of Education, Australian Government (prior to employment)
