About the role
Speno Rail Maintenance Australia is a world leader in rail grinding technology, ultrasonic testing, machine production, and the service provider of choice for all rail maintenance, rectification, and diagnostics.
We are currently on the hunt for a skilled Electrician who is seeking a career change, and is eager to expand their skill set to learn rail grinding as a Machine Operator/Maintainer for our Perth Operations, working on multi-million-dollar rail grinding trains and vehicles.
The Role:
This exciting opportunity involves both day and predominantly night shifts, offering a unique role in the Rail sector, with only minimal use of trade qualification when maintenance of the machine is required.
We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic team players with a strong work ethic, the right abilities, and a positive attitude to succeed and grow within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain rail grinding machines and equipment.
Work collaboratively with the team to meet production targets safely and efficiently.
Follow all safety protocols and company values.
Complete tasks as per instructions to a high standard of quality.
Requirements:
Trade Qualified WA Electrician.
Current WA A Grade Electrical licence.
Flexible, team-oriented, and committed to the company's values.
Ability to meet production goals safely and efficiently.
Valid C class manual driver’s licence.
Strong communication skills.
Physically fit and able to meet Category 1 medical requirements (including full colour vision).
100% commitment to safety.
Desirable but not essential:
HR licence.
First Aid.
Previous rail experience.
