About the role
Join MAV Melbourne as an AV Equipment Controller managing our fast-paced Audio-Visual warehouse inventory. You will be working with our Operation Manager, Project Managers and Technical Crew to deliver quality service and events to our Venues and Customers. You'll ensure that Sound, Lighting, and Video gear is perfectly prepared, tracked, and dispatched for events. Attention to detail, flexibility and adaptability are essential.
Key responsibilities
Manage daily dispatch and return of AV equipment using specific rental software
Prepare equipment for Base Jobs and Transfers to MAV Depots, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and equipment packaged safely and correctly
Inspect and test returned AV equipment to ensure it functions perfectly for the next show
Identify damaged gear and coordinate internal and external repairs and servicing
Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse
Organise storage space and assist crew with loading and unloading production vehicles
About you
Good working knowledge of professional Audio, Lighting, Video and Staging equipment
Background in Audio Visual events as a Technician, Warehouse Person or Operational role highly regarded
Prior experience with inventory databases or rental software, specifically Rentalpoint, is desirable but not essential
Good working knowledge of the wide range of AV equipment highly desirable
Can react quickly to changing situations and make decisions under pressure
Good organisational skills and takes pride in keeping a neat and tidy warehouse
Ability to spot missing and broken items and find quick viable solutions in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable lifting heavy road cases and working on your feet
Positive attitude and strong communication skills to work alongside Technical Crew and Project Managers
Full Driver's License essential, including ability and qualification to drive a manual vehicle
Previous 3T Truck driving experience highly regarded
Test & Tag Licence desirable but not essential
Understands that Events are a 24/7 business and the demands that sometimes come with that
