Forestry Fire Fighter and Field Staff Positions

Job Summary:

We are seeking reliable and punctual Forestry Fire Staff to join our team in Albany. As a Forestry Fire Fighter, you will be responsible for assisting with various forestry activities and ensuring the safety of yourself and others. The ideal candidate should have excellent time management skills, the ability to work outdoors in all conditions, and thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

– Perform Forestry Fire Fighting and Standby Duties

– Fire Mitigation and Silvicultural Forestry Activities

– Weed Control Activities

– Forest Information Data Gathering

Skills:

– Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient completion of assigned tasks within given deadlines.

– Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

– Good communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately and report findings effectively.

Qualifications:

– A current Class C driver’s license.

Desirable – Not compulsory but certainly viewed favourably:

– Medium/Heavy Rigid Drivers Qualificaitons

– DFES fire fighting qualifications
