About the role
The Indigenous Centre of Vocational Excellence (ICOVE) is a First Nations-led national initiative established under the Australian Government's National Skills Agreement and aligned with Closing the Gap reforms.
Delivered in partnership between Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services (KAMS) and Tranby Aboriginal Co-operative Limited (Tranby), ICOVE has been created to strengthen how the vocational education and training (VET) system works for First Nations people through stronger partnerships, capability building, innovation and policy leadership.
As ICOVE continues to grow, so does the opportunity to help deliver projects that support meaningful reform and improve outcomes for First Nations learners, communities and organisations across Australia.

The Role: Coordinating National ImpactICOVE is seeking an Executive Officer - Office of the CEO to join its growing national team. This role will be based at the Tranby office in Glebe, NSW.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide high-level executive, strategic and governance support and play a key role in coordinating the effective operation of the Office of the CEO.
Working closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, you will help coordinate executive priorities, governance processes, strategic projects, organisational reporting and stakeholder engagement. You will ensure key decisions and priorities are followed through, actions remain on track, and emerging issues and risks are identified and appropriately escalated.
The role will also support engagement with government, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, education and training providers and other national stakeholders, while contributing to ICOVE's broader policy, research, innovation and workforce development agenda.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced executive or governance professional who is highly organised, exercises sound judgement and discretion, and enjoys working across complex priorities to support strong leadership and nationally significant outcomes for First Nations vocational education.

In this role, you'll:
You'll work closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team in a trusted role requiring strong organisation, initiative, sound judgement and discretion. This is an opportunity to work at the centre of a growing national initiative and help turn strategic priorities and executive decisions into meaningful action for First Nations vocational education.
The Profile: Organised, Strategic and ProactiveYou are highly organised, proactive and confident working in a fast-paced executive environment where priorities can shift and sound judgement matters.
You enjoy bringing structure to complex work, keeping priorities and actions on track, and making sure the CEO has the information, coordination and support needed to make informed decisions. You'll be comfortable working with sensitive and confidential information, managing competing priorities and engaging professionally with senior leaders and stakeholders.
Based at the Tranby office in Glebe, NSW, you'll work closely with and provide direct support to the CEO while helping coordinate an Executive Leadership Team and broader national team working across multiple locations.
