WEEKEND - HEAVY HAULAGE TOW TRUCK FLEET CONTROLLER

About the role

Modern Towing & Salvage is seeking an experienced WEEKEND - Heavy Haulage Tow Truck Fleet Controller to join our operations team in a PART-TIME role based in Laverton North, VIC 3026. This position is crucial to the effective management and coordination of our heavy haulage fleet during weekend operations. As Fleet Controller, you will oversee the dispatch, coordination and supervision of tow truck operations, ensuring all vehicles are efficiently utilised to meet customer demands whilst maintaining the highest safety and service standards. This role is instrumental in keeping our fleet operations running smoothly during peak weekend periods.

Key responsibilities

1. Dispatch and coordinate heavy haulage tow trucks to customer breakdowns/accidents/salvages, ensuring optimal routing and resource allocation

2. Receive and process customer enquiries

3. Maintain accurate records of fleet activities, job completion and any incidents or breakdowns/accidents

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Fleet Controller, Dispatcher or similar role within the heavy haulage or towing industry

2. Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle operations and towing procedures

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple jobs effectively

4. Sound understanding of road safety regulations and heavy vehicle compliance requirements

5. Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in fast-paced environments
