The City of Gold Coast is investing in a modern, enterprise-scale data and analytics ecosystem, and we're looking for a Microsoft Fabric Platform Administrator to play a key role in its success.
This is an exciting opportunity to become the technical custodian of our Microsoft Fabric platform, helping drive the evolution of a modern data environment that enables trusted insights, self-service analytics and smarter decision-making across one of Australia's largest local governments.
Working alongside specialists in Azure, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Security and Data Governance, you'll help shape the future of enterprise data capabilities while ensuring our Microsoft Fabric environment remains secure, scalable and high performing.
About the Team
The Chief Technology Office is entering an exciting new chapter.
Following the introduction of our new IT Operating Model and the transition of key technology services in-house, we're transforming how technology is delivered across the City. Our focus is on building modern platforms, accelerating innovation and creating technology services that are responsive, secure and aligned to organisational outcomes.
As part of the Enterprise Data & Analytics Platform team, you'll contribute to the growth of a modern Microsoft-based data platform spanning Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure and Purview.
You'll work in a highly collaborative environment with specialists across cloud, data engineering, analytics and governance to deliver meaningful outcomes for our organisation and community.
About the role
As the Microsoft Fabric Platform Administrator (internally referred to as Platform Administrator), you will take ownership of the City's Microsoft Fabric environment and help drive its ongoing maturity and adoption.
You will be responsible for platform administration, optimisation, governance and operational excellence, ensuring the platform supports the City's growing demand for advanced analytics and data-driven decision making.
This role offers the opportunity to influence platform standards, contribute to technical roadmaps and help shape how enterprise data services are delivered across the organisation.
