2IC – Robina

Focus on Furniture, one of Australia’s fastest-growing furniture and bedding retailers, is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Retail 2IC (Key Holder) to support the Store Manager and help drive exceptional customer experiences and sales results.

This is an opportunity for an experienced retail professional to take the next step in their career, providing leadership support, helping coordinate day-to-day store operations, and acting as the key point of contact when the Store Manager is not on site.

About the Role

As the Retail 2IC, you will work alongside the Store Manager to support the daily operation of the store. You will lead by example, provide guidance and support to team members, maintain operational standards, and help create an engaging shopping experience for our customers.

You will also hold key holder responsibilities, including opening and closing the store, securing cash and premises, and providing supervisory support to the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and store KPIs.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to team members.
• Act as the designated key holder, including opening and closing the store.
• Maintain security of cash, stock and store premises.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and lead by example on the sales floor.
• Assist with coaching and training team members in product knowledge and sales techniques.
• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Assist in resolving customer enquiries and concerns professionally.
• Support store operations, stock management and business initiatives.
• Act as the Store Manager’s delegate when required.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a senior sales or key holder role.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to support and influence others in a positive manner.
• A proven track record of achieving individual and team sales targets.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility when supervising the store.
• Sound computer literacy.
• Availability to work weekends as required.
• Furniture or big-ticket retail experience is advantageous but not essential.
