About Us
The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.

About the Group
The Operations Group delivers frontline customer services to Victorians and the public service. It maintains the foundational digital infrastructure and platforms that support efficient, secure and reliable service delivery.
About the Role
The Senior Risk and Audit Partner supports the Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) in meeting its risk, audit and assurance obligations within DGS's shared services model. The role provides strategic advice, analysis and governance support, including Audit & Risk Committee coordination, assurance follow-up, insurance management, contract administration and internal audit activities, while working closely with senior stakeholders and audit providers. It may also support broader DGS and DTF risk and audit functions during peak periods.
Key Accountabilities
Support the delivery of risk, audit and assurance services, including Audit & Risk Committee (ARC) secretariat functions.
Coordinate ARC governance, recruitment, probity and financial processes, ensuring compliance with relevant requirements.
Provide strategic analysis, advice and reporting to senior executives, boards, audit committees and key stakeholders.
Develop and maintain risk and assurance policies, procedures and compliance frameworks, including annual attestation requirements.
Build strong stakeholder relationships and collaborate across the Group to strengthen risk and assurance capability and support organisational priorities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following attributes:
An understanding of legislation and standards governing public sector risk management and audit.
Relevant qualification or suitable experience in risk management or auditing
Ability to analyse complex issues from multiple perspectives, identify root causes and implement practical solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.
Ability to identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and service delivery, using stakeholder insights and new approaches to enhance effectiveness and quality.
