SHAPE THE FUTURE OF PAEDIATRIC NEUROLOGY

This is an Fixed Term appointment for 1.6 FTE at various hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

Position Profile: We are seeking experienced, passionate Clinical Nurses to join the neurology specialist nursing team here at Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH). The key responsibility of this role will be to support the Clinical Nurse Consultant and Clinical Nurse Specialist’s in the neuromuscular program and general neurology/epilepsy program. The clinical nurse role supports children and families in the acute inpatient and outpatient settings, coordinating care and providing education and clinical expertise to families and the wider healthcare teams.
About the Department/ Service: The Neurology Department at PCH encompasses Neurology and Neurophysiology and a suite of associated services and programs. Our expert team of neurologists, specialist nurses, allied health professionals and neurophysiology scientists deliver care to infants, children and adolescents for the investigation, diagnosis and management of neurological conditions, including but not limited to epilepsy, neuromuscular and highly complex rare neurological disorders.
About Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH): is Western Australia's specialist paediatric hospital and trauma centre, with 298 beds. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre, PCH offers primary care for severe medical cases and secondary services such as inpatient, outpatient, and day-stay care.
