Secondary Teacher - History, Religion, English and/or French

Downlands College is seeking applications from suitably qualified teachers who are currently registered with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) for a part-time contract position (0.4 FTE, two days per week) as a Secondary Teacher, commencing at the start of the 2027 academic year.

This position is being offered as part of a job-share arrangement, working alongside an existing staff member who is participating in an approved flexible working arrangement. The successful applicant will be required to work collaboratively to ensure continuity of teaching, learning, and student support outcomes.

Requirements

• Qualifications to teach in one or more of the following subject areas: History, Religion, English and/or French

• Confidence in extending and enriching student learning

• Willingness to contribute to the co-curricular life of the College is essential

• Knowledge and understanding of the AITSL Professional Standards and their relevance to effective teaching and learning

Salary

$86,600 – 124,724 (FTE) plus super
