About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused and design-minded Showroom Consultant to join a busy and growing showroom team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with clients, has a passion for interiors and design, and thrives on helping customers find the right solution for their home or project. You will be responsible for guiding clients through the selection process, preparing quotations, managing customer relationships, and supporting projects from initial consultation through to installation.

Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to balance customer service, sales, and administration responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Consultation & Design Guidance

• Meeting with clients to understand their lifestyle requirements, project goals, budget, and design preferences
• Recommending flooring and window furnishing solutions that align with both practical needs and aesthetic objectives
• Assisting clients with colour, texture, and style selections to complement their existing interiors
• Educating customers on product features, benefits, durability, maintenance requirements, and long-term value
• Identifying opportunities to enhance customer outcomes through premium products and complementary solutions

Sales & Client Relationship Management

• Building strong relationships with homeowners, builders, designers, and commercial clients
• Preparing quotations and following up enquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Managing customer projects from enquiry through to installation
• Maintaining accurate records within the company's CRM and internal systems
• Working closely with operational and installation teams to ensure a seamless customer experience

Showroom Management

• Maintaining a clean, professional and visually appealing showroom environment
• Ensuring product displays are current, organised, and aligned with design trends
• Managing showroom samples, including ordering, tracking, and coordinating sample loans to clients
• Staying informed on new product ranges, industry developments, and design trends

Core Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales, showroom consulting, interior design, flooring, building products, or a similar customer-focused environment
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to explain technical product information in a clear and easy-to-understand manner
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail when preparing quotations and maintaining customer records
• A passion for customer service and delivering exceptional client experiences
• An eye for design, colour coordination, and interior styling
• Proficiency with computer systems and CRM platforms
